This CPD-accredited Essentials of CVD course is aimed at learners who are new to working with CVD patients and would like an overview of the disease, diagnosis, and management.

This Essentials of CVD programme is designed for practitioners who have recently begun to, or are preparing to, support patients with cardiovascular disease. This may include newly qualified nursing staff, HCAs and HCSWs, social care staff, or experienced healthcare professionals who have been recently deployed to support patients with cardiovascular disease.

Led by a highly qualified frontline clinician, these interactive sessions will enable you to improve your clinical practice by:

• Discussing and reviewing best practice in CVD
• Recognising conditions that may contribute to, and are risk factors for, CVD
• Exploring a range of treatment pathways and how they contribute to a person-centred care approach
• Reflecting on local practice

This course involves two 2-hour webinars delivered six weeks apart. Following the first session, learners are asked to explore how they will apply their learning in practice and evaluate these outcomes in session 2.
